Sharing the World of Nature with Young Children at NBS

NBS offers a variety of exciting educational opportunities designed specifically for preschool learners. Each age-appropriate program engages young children through hands-on discovery in the natural world. We invite you to join us as we explore the world around us through games, songs, crafts, and exploration!

Vacation Camp Programs
Held on school holidays and inservice days throughout the year
(9:00-3:00)

Spend your school holidays the natural way, with NBS vacation camps! Our camps emphasize active learning in the great outdoors, with discovery hikes, games, experiments, and more! We offer age-appropriate sessions for students ages 4-11.

Bird Tales
Every other Wednesdays (10:00 A.M.)

We'll read a story, meet an animal or go on a discovery hike, and complete a craft project. These interactive programs are geared towards children ages 2-5, though all ages may attend.

Program Cost: Suggested donation of $2 per child (members) and $4 per child (non-members). Adults are free. Registration encouraged but not required.

Preschoolers with Parents
Wednesdays (1-2 P.M.)

Marilyn Lyell leads our popular series of weekday programs for preschoolers ages 3-5. Each program features an outdoor discovery walk, animals, games, songs, and more!

Summer Sessions (4 weeks each)
Session A: June 30, July 7, 14 and 21
Session B: July 28, August 4, 11 and 18

Program Cost: $75 per session. Registration is done ONLINE.

Teaming with Nature
Monthly, beginning Saturday, November 7 (10:00-11:00 A.M.)

Our engaging, age-appropriate Saturday classess for preschoolers ages 2-5 and their parents will include animals, crafts, songs, and outdoor discovery. Every month, we'll explore natue with the help of our five senses! This interactive program meets on the first Saturday of every month.
