Conservation is at the Heart of Our Mission

For hundreds of years, the land that Norman Bird Sanctuary now stewards has been home to a variety of diverse wildlife, habitats, and ecosystems.

The 300 acres in our care continue to flourish as we work to maximize plant and wildlife biodiversity, improve the health of the local watershed, and preserve the natural and cultural resources at the Norman Bird Sanctuary.

As open space rapidly disappears across the globe, places like this only become more essential to Aquidneck Island, Rhode Island, and beyond.
