Nature Vacation Adventure!

Norman Bird Sanctuary offers vacation camp programs for children school age children, grades K-6. Our age-appropriate and innovative camps offer a unique blend of hands-on learning, games, animal encounters and team building. Camp groups utilize our 325-acre outdoor classroom and are held in small groups with caring, enthusiastic and professional Teacher Naturalists.

December Mini Camp

Creature Feature (2017 Example)
Thursday, December 28th-Saturday, December 30th (9:00 am-3:00 pm)
Recommended for Kindergarten-Grade 6

Have you ever wondered what makes a bird a bird or why turtles have shells? Each day of Norman Bird Sanctuary’s December Mini Camp will focus on a specific creature and what makes it special. Campers will meet animal ambassadors up close and hike the trails in search of wildlife and their signs.

Member price: $50 per day or $135 for all 3 days
Non-member price: $55 per day or $150 for all 3 days

February Vacation Camp

Animal Olympics
Monday, February 19th-Friday, February 23rd (9:00 am-3:00 pm)
Recommended for Kindergarten-Grade 6

That animal can do what? Animals have some incredible adaptations. Norman Bird Sanctuary’s February vacation camp week will look at the best of the best “animal athletes.” Campers will figure out which animals should get the gold medal with their skills. New for this year: book by the day or stay for the whole week!

Members: $50 per day or $235 for the week
Non-members: $55 per day or $260 for the week

April Vacation Camp

Hooray for Herptiles
Monday, April 16th-Friday, April 20th (9:00 am-3:00 pm)
Recommended for Kindergarten-Grade 6

NBS is home to many reptiles and amphibians. Join us in learning what makes these cold blooded animals unique as we explore the trails in search of living examples. We will also get a chance to meet several animal ambassadors during this exciting week of camp!

Members: $235 for the week
Non-members: $260 for the week
