This year, Norman Bird Sanctuary’s Ecotour series returns to the banks of the Connecticut River as we seek out Bald Eagles. These majestic birds winter in large numbers along rivers, lakes and reservoirs, and are consistently reported along the lower CT River. Let us do the driving as we keep our eyes out for adult and juvenile Bald Eagles on ice floes, searching for fish and scavenging opportunities. This program is designed for all birding skill levels and includes a small amount of low-impact walking.
Pack a bag lunch to go with provided snacks and drinks. Dress warmly with appropriate footwear, and binoculars are recommended. Space is limited!
Recommended for adults & mature teens of all birding levels.
