Norman Bird Sanctuary is a wildlife sanctuary and environmental education center
with more than 325 acres of diverse habitats and 7 miles of hiking trails.
There is plenty to see at all times of the year. You can bring your binoculars and go for a walk along our well-maintained trails. You will be sure to see a variety of wildlife, including local and migratory birds, depending on the season.
We are a community organization with the mission of preserving and protecting habitats and providing environmental education to a diverse audience of all ages. Our mission, defined by our founder Mabel Norman, has continued to impact the quality of life on Aquidneck Island and across the state for over sixty years.

Norman Bird Sanctuary offers summer and vacation camp programs for children from age 3.5 through 14.
Engaging programs appropriate for our youngest preschoolers through advanced high school students.
